Save the Date: MN in May 2026
The following message was just sent out the the USRK Deshi (student) mailing list. It’s an exciting opportunity that I hope many of you will take advantage of. The chance to train with the Kyoshi — 8th- and 9th-degree black belts — is an uncommon opportunity!
Please join us the weekend of May 15-17, 2026, here in Northfield, MN!
UPDATE: We have a partial list of attendees, including both Kyoshi Michael Mackay and Kyoshi Kevin Reymond, along with four other upper-level black belts, and a New York Sho-Dan candidate joining our three Sho-Dan candidates from Northfield. This is shaping up to be an inspiring weekend!

The Northfield and Carleton College dojo are pleased to announce our Minnesota in May event for 2026!
The dates are Friday through Sunday, May 15th to the 17th, including a Black Belt test on Saturday, May 16th.
Kyoshi Mackay and Reymond are planning to attend, and we hope that we will see many more of our fellow USRKUSA karateka here for a great weekend of training and comradery.
